Wachusett Dam

In the town of Clinton there is a large reservoir of water – at one time it was the largest water supply in the WORLD! In 1897 work had begun on the dam to supply water to twenty-nine surrounding towns. By 1905, they had their supply of the precious commodity.

Old Grist Mill – Moore State Park

Our last pit stop was Moore State Park in Paxton. Here we took advantage of the picnic tables to break for lunch. Bernie found a creeping caterpillar to shoot. Unfortunately Mother Nature didn’t cooperate as the foliage had not turned and the streams were dry. But we made the best of what we had. . .

Wachusett Aqueduct

Our first stop was the Wachusett Aqueduct in Northborough. The light and the fog created some unusual photo options. I think we shot every possible angle – from dry ground!
