As I mentioned during our last meeting there is an osprey nest right at the edge of the parking lot at Wareham H.S. This is where I took the shot (from last Saturday evening) that I showed during image study on Wednesday.
I headed down there again yesterday evening to see what was up. At one point, I noticed two osprey in the air along with the one on the nest. The two in the air were sort of doing a dance… which I now interpret more as a battle since one of the birds in the air (an interloper, I guess) dive bombed the nest! It must have been trying to get the sitting bird to leave, I suppose. Anyway, I caught the attack! This is the first, second and fourth frames of a four frame burst.
