Portraiture is a photograph of another person, persons, or self-portrait that shows a viewer something of the character of that person. A good portrait is one in which the photographer was in control of the creation of the image. The majority of the membership decided to include animal pictures in the portrait classification.
Architectural photography is defined as any man-made structure or group of structures designed for human use (churches, towers, fountains, etc.). Interiors, details, and exteriors where the structure is or structures are the dominant element[s] of the composition would be included in this category.
Images in this category will include those shot strictly as B&W, or converted from color. B&W, sepia, or single-color enhanced images will be included here as well. Images that are monochromatic with another single color isolated will be considered Open.
